We are a family run business

We are a family run business located in the picturesque harbour village of Portsoy in Aberdeenshire on the Moray Firth, Scotland. Since 2003, Alex and team have strived to create an exciting range of top quality homemade artisan ice creams and sorbets.

These are all made in our Portsoy shop using the finest, and when possible, local ingredients. Each year we win numerous awards at the National Ice Cream Competition in Harrogate. We look forward to welcoming you soon for the ultimate ice cream experience.

  • Waffles with ice cream and toffee sauce… this is just heaven on a plate. I’ve just had a freshly made warm waffle with Jaffa cake ice cream with hot toffee sauce poured over. …all I can say is yum yum… The staff were polite and helpful with knowledge about their stock. With loads of choices to make in both ice creams or hot sauces you don’t know where to start.

  • Best ice cream ever. The home made vanilla is to die for. We were in Cullen for a week and managed to squeeze in four visits to Portsoy for pudding! Beautiful fresh waffles too – gorgeous with the ice cream and hot sauces. Some really inventive flavours available but I struggled to pass on the vanilla after my first taste…

Portsoy Ice Cream prepares for the Portsoy Book Festival
